Religions without Borders is a Non-Governmental organization founded after September 11th, 2001. Its
prime mission and objective is to build bridges using both various faith approaches and conflict resolution processes as a principal track, or "platform" to improve relations between people, communities, and nations and advance the growth of:
- Conflict prevention and management
- Social progress, especially in education, co-existence and tolerance.
- Multi-ethnic societies
- Democratic governance and the rule of law
- Economic growth and development
- Private-public NGO sector cooperation.
It comprises people of many cultures, nations, beliefs and backgrounds who are committed to transforming society through building bridges of hope, faith and trust.
Currently
Religions
without
Borders
has
programs
in Ex
Yugoslavia,
Uganda
and
Nepal. A
process
is under
way to
initiate
programs
in
Southern
Sudan,
Ethiopia,
Eritrea, Somalia
and
yemen.
The
organization
is
financed
by
individual
gifts
and by
foundations,
and for
certain
specific
programmes,
by
institutional
grants.
